Peel and chop the onion. Peel and crush the garlic.
On a separate chopping board, slice the streaky bacon. Remember to thoroughly wash your hands after handling raw meat.
Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the onion, garlic and bacon for 3 minutes.
Add the mince and cook for 5 minutes until browned.
Dissolve the stock cube in 100ml of boiling water.
Stir in the stock, herbs, canned tomatoes and tomato puree and season with black pepper. Cook for 15-20 minutes stirring occasionally.
While the mince is cooking, cook the spaghetti in boiling water. Drain once cooked.
Serve the mince on top of the spaghetti with a green salad.
