    • 1 tbsp Olive oil
    • 1 Onion finely chopped
    • 2 Garlic cloves crushed
    • 1 Carrot finely diced
    • 500 g Northern Ireland Quality Assured Steak Mince
    • 2 tbsp Tomato puree
    • 400 g Tin chopped tomatoes
    • 200 ml Beef stock
    • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tsp Mixed herbs
    • 1 tsp Honey
    • Sea salt and freshly ground pepper

    Method
    • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, and carrot. Cook for 3 - 4 minutes until soft.
    • Add the steak mince and cook for 5 minutes, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until browned.
    • Stir in tomato puree, then add chopped tomatoes, beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, mixed herbs, honey, salt and pepper.
    • Lower the heat and let it simmer uncovered for 15 - 20 minutes until thickened. Stir occasionally.
    • While the sauce simmers, cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water per packet instructions (usually 10 minutes). Drain.
    • Toss the spaghetti with the Bolognese sauce, arrange it into warm bowls, and sprinkle it with Parmesan and fresh basil.
