LMC is proud to launch its annual Meat4Schools competition which aims to support Food and Nutrition teachers in accessing Northern Ireland Farm Quality Assured beef and lamb for practical cookery lessons, and giving more pupils in Northern Ireland the opportunity to improve skills in cooking with red meat.

How would you store, prepare and cook red meat in order to prevent food poisoning and food spoilage
Key stage 4
Explain the nutritional importance of red meat as part of a balanced diet through different life stages
Key stage 5
Discuss the role of the Northern Ireland Farm Quality Assurance Scheme
How to enter the competition
To be in with a chance of winning a prize for your school complete the following:
- Identify the topic related to your key stage above.
- Create a short 1-minute video on the relevant topic.
- Include your class and school name in the video.
- Full terms and conditions are available to download below
Videos should be submitted in mp4 video format via the ‘Video upload’ box across. All entries should be submitted by 4pm Monday 16 October and winners will be notified by Monday 23 October to arrange a suitable date for the prize to be delivered. The prize will be delivered in one amount and no part delivery option will be available.
