Ingredients
- 2 x 300 g Northern Ireland Quality Assured Sirloin or Rib eye steaks
- 1 x 5 ml (1 tsp) Olive oil
- Black pepper
To serve:
- Salad leaves
- Cherry tomatoes
- Crusty bread

Method
- Remove the steak from the fridge 45 minutes before cooking to bring to room temperature.
- Pre-heat the oven to 180oC or gas mark 4.
- Using your hands, rub the steaks with the olive oil and black pepper. Remember to wash your hands thoroughly after handling raw meat.
- Heat a large frying pan until very hot and sear the steaks for 1 minute on each side.
- Place the steaks on the baking tray and cook in the oven for 4-7 minutes.
- Remove the steaks from the oven and wrap in tin foil to rest for 5 minutes.
- Remove the steaks from the tin foil and serve with crusty bread and salad.
