Food Safety

This section in both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 looks at the issue of food safety under the areas of Shopping, Storing, Cooking and Quality of food. 

Shopping

The issue of labelling is introduced under Shopping with pupils advised what to look for in labelling.

Our interactive fridge game is designed to help pupils understand how food should be refrigerated safely to reduce the risk of food poisoning.

Quality of Food

LMC manages the NI Farm Quality Assurance Scheme which is designed to give consumers a guarantee that the meat they are buying is of top quality and is fully traceable.
