Non-starch Polysaccharide

COMA recommends that adults consume 18 grams of NSP per day. Most people should aim for between 12 and 24 grams per day. Children may need to eat less because of their smaller body size, Very young children should not eat too many fibre-rich foods otherwise their diet could be too bulky and filling. This would make it difficult for them to achieve their energy needs.
